Dear God a zombie bit Myffaine!
All merry hell breaks loose and life as we know it is in danger of being snuffed out from the planet on what is otherwise not too bad of a Tuesday.
Barry and Myffanie have to negotiate a Zombie apocalypse in an effort to save the market value of the house they bought in Ptthwit five years ago.
An accident in a nearby cosmetics laboratory has unleashed a zombie horde onto the village, one that may take over the entire planet if they don't stop it, or worse completely wipe out the extra value Barry's Garage extension put onto their property.
Review
When an explosion occurs in a cosmetics factory in a small
town in the welsh valleys it unleashes a zombie apocalypse on the unsuspecting
residents. This is the story of Barry and Myffanie’s struggle to escape and to
save the town from destruction.
Laugh out loud funny from start to finish. Simon Carr has
accurately captured the British/Welsh sense of humour with the arguing and
bickering between the main characters whilst weaving it into a farcical plot that
keeps you entertained throughout.
I loved the cows
The narrator fits perfectly with the story and helps to
bring it to life with welsh accents that make full use of the dialog.
This is definitely one of the author’s best titles

If you think life is a game, wait until you play death!
Chris and Steve were quite happy sitting in their rooms playing online games until events in a kabab shop changed everything and reset all of the rules.
A deal with the Grim Reaper could give them both a second chance at life if they can play the game of their lives inside some of the games they have only ever seen through a screen, until now.
Luckily, they are not alone; friends they had not met, or maybe they had, help the new guys - the Noobs!
Review
When Chris & Steve are unexpectedly killed in an
explosion at a kebab shop they strike a deal with the Grim Reaper to get the
chance to return to their lives playing video games online
The deal pitches them into a series of ‘real-life’ retro
video games where they must retrieve the keys to unlock their reward.
As someone who spent their formative years in the 80’s
playing video games like Space Invaders, Frogger, Pac-Man, Golden Axe and more,
this was a fun, nostalgic ride back to my teens. Coupled with the author’s mad
story and the enthusiastic narration this was great fun to listen to.
Wreck-it Ralph for adults.

This is fecking serious, so it is!
Bishop's Point is about to face its biggest crisis since the distempered badgers attacked. Father O'Riley and Father O'Malley are all that stand in the devil's way. The forces of Hell descend upon the sleepy Irish town en masse, but they were not expecting the good fathers to lead a rebellion against them.
Review
The Gates to Hell have been opened in the tiny Irish town of
Bishop’s Point. Father O'Riley and Father
O'Malley are the only hope of saving the town from the diabolic horde.
Another masterpiece from
the maelstrom of ideas residing in the head of Simon Carr. As always there are
so many hilarious bits of dialog that make most of Mr Carr’s work unsuitable
for reading on public transport – Oh! The looks you get from the other
passengers when you look like you’re in the middle of a medical emergency.
The only thing that could
be improved with the audiobook would be a more authentic range of Irish accents
from the narrator

The birth of the legend!
War is brewing and the galaxy's only space sheriff and his robot companion will not be enough to contain it. An awesome hero saving the day with dumb luck and unlikely coincidences can only get you so far. But when epic battles loom, epic friends are required.
Review
A space hero whose exploits are successful more by luck than judgement, not always helped by his sarcastic robot sidekick.
This tale of Rick Toenail is a typical example of the kind of output from Simon Carr that manages to enthrall, entertain and make you laugh all at once.
A Rocket To The Blasted Moon!
Good lord and hell's brassy bells man!
It's a time of great discovery and adventure. William desperately tries to cement his legacy into this revolution of industry with little success until he is gifted some designs for a space rocket.
William and his manservant, Mumbandi, build the rocket, keen to prove all of his peers wrong and be the first to travel to the stars.
Discovery and adventure present themselves in an abundance during the first-ever journey of a rocket to the blasted moon!
Review
Another lunatic premise from Simon Carr with hilarious dialog and fun characters.
The Author
but since you are here we might as well revel in the soup of irrational absurdity together because it is somthing to do!
I could tell you where I come from and where I live but how the hell do I know you are not some kind of psychopath!?
I think any writer who has ever read Misery should just avoid that poison apple myself, all you need to know is I am English and support Blackburn Rovers (BLAST!)
That does not mean I live in Blackburn; ok, I live in Blackburn but it's a big place, you will never find me, you weirdo!
I like knitting, collecting empty beer cans, and slapping dead birds just to make sure, I hope for world peace and an end to climate change, gender representative jelly babies, and fat people to get skinny really easily using just a DVD.
